Premier Inn, Admiral Park

JPC was appointed as Project Manager and Employer’s Agent to deliver the first hotel of its kind on the Island of Guernsey.





The latest generation 100-bedroom Premier Inn hotel was completed in December 2021 which included an in-house Thyme restaurant and 20 Premier Inn Plus specification rooms.


It forms part of the Admiral Park Phase 1 project and working with the lead client,  Whitbread/Premier Inn and their consultant team, JPC defined the requirement, procured the works and managed the project through to completion of construction.


Local building contractors were awarded the contract for the complete development which included assisting with the Premier Inn Directs installation.


Together, the team successfully overcame the logistical challenges of the island location and the complications caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.


Simon Lancaster, Whitbread’s Head of Construction (London and Southern UK) commented: ““Covid provided a unique challenge for the team delivering a fabulous Premier Inn in Guernsey. This is a new market for us so the challenges of a new island-based consultant and contracting team could have made the remote management of this development extremely difficult.


JPC and the main contractors provided an excellent approach to the working relationship and continued that to the end of the project. Their professional and personal approach made this one of the best projects I have delivered to Premier Inn and one I am extremely proud of. I know that JPC are too and I look forward to the future opportunity to work with them again”


Construction of the first phase of work of Admiral Park is now complete, with future phases of development to proceed hereafter.
